Masjid JoJo Project Delayed Once Again!
I had planned my holidays to coincide with The Official Opening of The Masjid JoJo Project in Mafia Island Tanzania! Unfortunately I am getting more and more requirements for replenishment of funds for completion of The Masjid. I do not have these extra funds now with My PDO Pension Salary! Al Hamdu Lillah!

Zanzibar is a beautiful place! It has got great historical and geographical relationships with Oman. It is the place that I was born! So was My Late Mother Bi. Jokha Hamed Zahor Al Sulaimaniya – Allah Rahmah! My Late Father Sheikh Said bin Nasser Zahor Al Sulaimani – Allah Rahmah – was born in Oman! He first time went to Africa in his twenties with late Elder Mother, Late Brother and Late Sister – Allah Rahimuun!
This is an Email I wrote back to an Italian Lady Owner of Paje By Night Hotel – we stayed only 3 nights – and moved to Hotel Resort Verde (Bakhressa) Zanzibar for the rest of our stay in Zanzibar. See my previous Media Postings!
This Note is especially addressed to Omani Arab Visitors – even those from Zanzibar going back for the first time – or after a long time! PLEASE BE CAREFUL! It takes all kinds to make this world – some it is better you had never met ever before – all based on lack of trusting – and scheming customers – specially targeted are the above mentioned! It may look harmless on the surface – but by misfortune or inadvertently can turn to be deadly disastrous and harmful – even endangering your lives! It is Not Wolf Calling – IT IS REAL!

Thank you for The Hospitality and The Nice Friendly Polite Helpful yourself and The Staff! This is Majid Al Suleimany from Oman. I hope you remember me – The Largely Built Omani Guest!! 😊
As I promised you in my call to you after leaving – please check out these Individuals. Lest there is a ring and unsuspecting gullible travellers get caught up in their ring of deceit and games! My gut feelings are they are concentrating on Omani Travellers or Arabs or Muslims more – and especially target are Omanis originated from Zanzibar Tanzania etc! More those who can speak Swahili – or just from Oman Arab countries!
Common Name XYZ – Nick name RST – he sent me messages saying he is Manager of Paje By Night and Paje Hotel Jibrin. I do not know how he got my Omani numbers – but I remember calling you before we came asking about Meet and Greet at Zanzibar Airport.
There is a LEAK in your Offices or The people you deal with meeting guests at The Airport – guess could be seaport too! Or in Both Places!
Incidentally, he did arrange for the transport for us and did pick us up at The Airport! His Assistant also named Common Name XYZ carried our name at the exit. We trusted him with ourselves and our goods – Imagine a Trusting Tired Gullible Unsuspecting Passenger!
They charged us 120,000 Tanz Shs for the pick up. Understood to be on a very high end for just a pick up from The Airport! He picked us up two more times for showing us around – say mostly 2 hours per day two times. We paid him The Driver 340.000 Tanz Shs and naïve of me gave him also 50,000 Tip. Before that he took us to show his family in Paje! More money came out from us!
The Ingrate looked unhappy – maybe he expected more. Mr. The Manager made a point to want to see us at Paje AFTER THIS REPEAT AFTER THIS! Maybe they were looking for more money to fleece us?☹
We told him we had already left Zanzibar for Dar es Salaam! ☹

Their concentration – my gut feelings – is SCHEMEING FOR HIGHER TAXI RATES FROM GULLIBLE NAIVE UNSUSPECTING VISITORS. Especially Omanis with links to Zanzibar – Others and maybe even Arabs too!
The Driver looked very hospitable and friendly – until he exposed himself in his true feelings about WAAARAABU – Arabs that is! He had bad thoughts on Arabs – stupid of him forgetting who we were in his taxi!
We thought these things were PAST US Now – but The Remnants are there still on!
We WILL NOT ADVISE ANY of Our Friends and Relatives to Visit Zanzibar – and or if they do TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL of The Fronts!
Especially for arranging taxis for pickups!
Everybody is in a Bad State – so Many Sob Stories!
You never know where they may drive you – or you meet any mishap on the ways! Especially if you are going to Zanzibar after a very long time! They are capable of anything – be prepared for the worst when it comes to money! See My Posting on Masjid JoJo – it is a Relative doing these things to us!
Because of the hardships – people have lost Imaan Taqwa and Good Faith! So Sad!

The Project has now been suspended! These days you cannot trust anyone in life – let alone even Family, Relatives and Friends! Even in aspects Holier Like Masjid Buildings!
One month back I was told pending items were windows and doors. I sent payment for the items! Two Days back the items again reappeared in Things To Be Done – Before The Masjid can be Formally Opened! This time two million Tanzanian Shillings have been added up to The Amount! Repeat and Repeat of the same scenario!
I always wondered why people were reluctant to contribute to Masjid Buildings – especially sadly and tragically to places like Mafia and others! Why? DONOR FATIGUE – as International Known! Monies sent – but not matching facts on the grounds!
People are NOT AFRAID of EVEN ALLAH SWT God Our Lord Almighty! Masjids are No Exception even!
Even if you will meet Hell Fire starting in your Grave First!
So I Point Blank said – Where The Masjid Reached Now – Is The End For Me! I am Afraid of Allah SWT – Making Payments – The same Ones Again – and Again!
So many closed up Masjids – Before Completion! What a waste!
It is very sad and tragic! I looked forward to Finish This Masjid JoJo Project – so Our Muslim Brothers and Sisters can Pray in To Allah SWT – Al Hamdu Lillah!

Remarks!
My wife and I were booked on the above flights to Zanzibar from Muscat return with our National Airline – Oman Air! We were planning to stay in Tanzania till October 23 2018 as per the above details flight information!
I worked in PDO in Employee Services and at that time I controlled on a First Signature only an annual budget of 18 million US Dollars. I was In Charge of all travels of the Company including Business Travel, Training Staff Leave etc. At the time Oman Air was under Gulf Air during my period of work.
Unfortunately, due to my medical condition we had to curtail our trip – and return early to Muscat. We changed the flight to as above details and we got confirmation from Muscat and even Call Centre Oman Air that our changed plans were in order!
When we reached The Oman Air Counter in Zanzibar on 4th September WY 708 – we were told that we could NOT FLY (sic!) because we had not intimated to Oman Air earlier – and Zanzibar nor Dar es Salaam have Oxygen Cylinder – nor does The Flight carry one!
We had a Formal Medical Letter signed by The Royal Hospital in Bowsher. The Sultanate Highest Hospital! An Oman Air part of The Same Sultanate of Oman Apparatus and System – wanted us to bring ANOTHER CERTIFICATION FROM A DOCTOR IN ZANZIBAR – as if The Royal Hospital documents that we travelled with from Muscat to Zanzibar were sort of ‘forged documents’!
If a forgery was to be made the more likely sources would be from where they wanted that the Documents! Even The Zanzibari Doctor (with links to Oman) was amazed bt this request from Oman Air – and he commented – Don’t they trust their own people?? Anyway, it is money for me – so No Problem!
On top of us being humiliated for Not Allowed To Fly – They Oman Air – I do not know if it is Oman or Zanzibar Offices – or even both? Nothing will surprise me the way Oman Air Treat The Omani People – especially in routes going to Zanzibar etc.
Special Treatment for such Passengers? Even if there is great businesses – and the planes to and fro GO FULL BASIS CAPACITY! Very good business for Oman Air – but So Sad!
Another Point!
Are Airlines Not Required to carry on board Oxygen Cylinders and Other Contigencies as per International Flying Standards as due to cabin pressures even healthy travelling passengers may require Oxygen due to Cabin Pressures?
Still Yet Another Main Point Here!
Oman Air is taking advantages of Omanis preferring to travel direct to Zanzibar etc!
Why does Oman Air fly SMALLER BOEING CRAFTS to Africa? Even the Business Class seats need much to be desired! I have flown flights with Oman Air to Salalah with WIDER Seats even! Do not talk about the toilet! Fat people like us can HARDLY GO IN!
For a long time, I have been hearing complaints about Oman Air from BOTH Staff and Travellers – but I put it to our usual whining on Petty Things concerning our National Institutions – till I learnt it the Hard Way flying Oman Air!
I am a very Nationalistic Patriotic person – main part of the reasons why my Career Life never took off! You can check around about me – even in PDO today!
BUT – Oman Air – I Will Not Fly You Again! This Was My LAST FLIGHT WITH YOU!
DO NOT FLY ME – OH OMAN AIR!!!!
